Christina Hylander is from Nykoping, Sweden. Shortly after emigrating to the United States, Stämbandet became her first choral endeavor in 1980. Christina finds that the rich harmonies of Scandinavian music continue to move her and, as she says, "make me melt."

A native of Floda, Sweden, Annette Kövamees has been an active performer since the 1980s, with membership in numerous vocal groups to her credit, including Hallands Nations Kör and Essinge Kyrkas Kör. Her knowledge of Swedish troubadour songs is unrivaled. Annette joined Stämbandet in 1999.
